When it comes to boating in Destin, there are endless options for all types of travelers. Boating Magazine even named Destin Florida in their list of 10 Best Places to Live and Boat.
Pontoons, power boats, sailboats, wave runners and fishing boats are easy to find in this holiday spot, both for private hire or chartered with a captain. You can hire your watercraft for just a day or for the entirety of your holiday to cruise the sparkling emerald waters of Destin and explore nearby spots like Crab Island and Gulf Islands National Seashore.
Because of the fishing village history of Destin, it’s truly an excellent location to try your hand on a fishing charter for the once-in-a-lifetime chance of reeling in a massive trophy fish. In fact, Destin has more registered fishing charter boats than anywhere else in Florida. On a deep-sea charter, you only need to travel just over 20 miles off the coast to catch Grouper, Red Snapper, Mahi Mahi, Tuna, and many more. The abundance of fish in this spot is due to the massive drop off in the ocean - the seabed plummets to a depth of 600 ft, making it a hot spot to catch the best fish.
A popular boat of choice for hire for many boaters is a fully-loaded beach-ready pontoon, some even complete with a water slide! This is a great option for large families who want someone else to take care of all the little planning details. The calmer waters make it an easy spot for less experienced boaters who want relaxing cruise conditions.
Dolphin tours are a popular choice in Destin, with many offering special experiences like sunset dolphin cruises, private sailing dolphin cruises and dolphin snorkeling off nearby Crab Island.

We rented the boat for one of my best wfriend’s bachelorette party and they were amazing! The original boat we inquired about ended up having issues that needed to be fixed but they quickly got us another boat for the same cost and day. Dealing with a party of tipsy ladies can be frustrating but we had such an amazing time! Would definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful trip! The owners were very accommodating and shared a lot of helpful information about the area. We spent a little time at crab island sandbar then went cruising to see dolphins which our 4 year old loved! Highly recommend and would book again.
Overall experience was absolutely amazing! Not only was the trio perfect, they were very accommodating to our pup. Jumped in full force when he became sick during our trip as well. We plan to come back when the weather warms up a bit and enjoy crab island during the hot summer days. Esther is so kind and welcoming! I recommend booking with them 5 out of 5 stars
Excellent experience and beautiful vessel. Travis communicated everything well and was accommodating with uncertain weather. Highly recommend. We had a great time on the water!
This was a great day - all worked out smoothly with pick up and drop off of the boat - and boat is in great shape. The 23 footer is a great size and deep hull to handle rough water very well.
