Some of our sailing trip and boat charter options include: Morning Glory: 3 hour morning trip The perfect way to jump start your day in Whitianga kicking back on the tramps of Fully Charged - a 'jump on' sailing charter adventure exploring Mercury Bay, Cathedral Cove and surrounds from $110pp. The trip includes freshly brewed coffee, chilled organic juice and a freshly baked snack. 3 hour trip. Departs Buffalo Beach at 9:30am returning at 12:30pm. $110 per adult, $45 per child. Avo of Goodness: 3 hour afternoon trip Plan to sail around the beautiful coastline on Fully Charged and visit local iconic locations, setting anchor for half an hour at Cathedral Cove. Either relax on the boat, or have a swim or snorkel in the marine reserve with the amazing fish life. Your trip includes a complementary chilled local beer or New Zealand wine along with some smoked local seafood. 3 hour trip. Departs from Buffalo Beach at 1:45pm and returns at 4:45pm. $110 per adult, $45 per child. Sundowner: 2 hour evening cruise A relaxing sail in the evening breeze going where the wind takes us. Sail the boat or relax on the comfortable trampoline decks on a beanbag. Watch the sun go down and the moon come up. Trip includes a local brewery beer and some local smoked seafood snacks. Sorry kids, this trip is for adults only. Our 2 hour sunset trip departs Buffalo Beach 6pm, returning by 8pm. $80 per adult. The perfect way to end a day in Whitianga. Private Charter S/V Fully Charged: Minimum of 4 hours Hire out the entire boat with our experienced skipper and crew for your own private charter. We tailor the trips with our guests, make a plan and then see what the wind brings. Sometimes we simply sail the day away. However, with the right breeze, there are lots of options....Exploring secluded beaches, snorkelling in the marine reserve, escaping the crowds or trolling for fish while we sail. Pick your adventure. Our private charter guests can either sit back and relax or can get involved and sail the boat. You will be accompanied by both a Skipper and crew member. Included in the private charter rate is all snorkel gear. We also provide tea, fresh brewed coffee, a glass or two of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, local craft beer, organic juice and a small snack of fruits and smoked seafood. Full catering per head can be arranged (priced to your requirements) or your welcome to bring along your own picnic. All Private Charters are inclusive of drinks and snacks. While the epic seascapes like Cathedral Cove remain the same, the marine life varies, from blue penguins to dolphin, orca & schools of bait fish. CANCELLATIONS We reserve the right to reschedule, reroute or cancel a trip due to weather, customer safety or other reasons. If we cancel the trip we refund at the time affected. Scheduled Day tours If we cancel the trip or part of the trip we refund at the time affected. If the customer cancels within 5 days of departure, no refund. If customer cancels prior to 5 days before departure, full refund. Private Charter Prior to 90 days before charter, full refund , no cancellation fee. 90 – 60 days before charter, refund less $200 cancellation fee. 59 – 30 days before charter, 30% refund of total charter cost.* Less than 30 days – no refund. * *If we are able to rehire the vessel to equivalent charter fee we will refund, less 20% or $200, whatever is greater, as cancellation fee. PAYMENT We accept cash, Visa and Mastercard credit cards or direct payment to our bank account. Scheduled Tours We hold your credit card details for booking confirmation. On the day of the tour you can choose your preferred method of payment, i.e. cash, credit card or eft-pos. Final Payment due on commencement of charter. SAFETY The skipper is responsible for all safety decisions. All skippers are commercially qualified and are Maritime New Zealand certified. They are certified First Aiders. All vessels are Maritime New Zealand surveyed. They are externally audited to ensure systems and operating procedures are of highest standards. There is a documented maintenance program and all gear is maintained regularly. Clients must inform us of any pre-existing medical conditions prior to trip departure. Skipper’s instructions must be followed at all times. Adults must ensure children in their care follow the instructions of the skipper. WEATHER Overcast, drizzle or rain will not mean cancellation of the trip. We expect clients to honor their booking. We reserve the right to reschedule, reroute or cancel a trip due to weather, customer safety or other reasons. If we cancel the trip we will refund the time affected. For canceled trips we will try to re-book on an alternative day. DISCLAIMER Booking and payment with Boom Charters Limited is deemed acknowledgement and acceptance of following disclaimer. Boom Charters Limited shall not be liable for any death, personal injury, or loss or damage to property and it is a condition of booking with Boom Charters Limited that you hereby release to the full extent permitted by law, Boom Charters Limited its employees, directors and any sub contractors from all actual or contingent liability in respect of such personal injury, death, loss or damage. All sailing passengers shall comply with any direction given for the safety of the vessel and comfort of passengers and agree that willful non compliance with such directions may result in an immediate return to the nearest port or the embarkation point without refund. It is a condition of booking and undertaking a charter that any passenger will indemnify Boom Charters Limited for all willful damage caused by any such noncompliant passenger. All passengers of Boom Charters Limited shall be liable for any cost associated with repairs and/or replacement of the vessel and/or equipment which occurs as a result of willful damage.
