Charter Vipera Daysailer in Korčula, Croatia

Enjoy Korčula, Croatia by boat! Charter a "Vipera" daysailer for up to 6 pax. Rates as low as €245 EUR for half day. Until a decade ago Tofinou 9.5 was one of the best kept French secrets but then this masterpiece started being recognized around the world mostly as an exquisite owner’s boat. Built following the old design of Tofinou 7 from the 1920s, the boat was given modern features and outstanding performances. The archipelago of islands spreading in the triangle between Korčula, Orebić and Lumbarda is a wonderful setting for daily sailing even by Dalmatian standards. These pine-covered islets, abundant with little pebble beaches, are a favourite local summer retreat, ideal for relaxing picnic, snorkelling or activities such as sailing, due to excellent wind conditions in the channel between Korčula island and Pelješac peninsula. Badija hosts a Franciscan monastery and there are lovely pathways around the island where you can meet deers, Vrnik used to be exploited for its stone– the abandoned quarry is still an attraction with its remains, Romans left their traces on Majsan… Whether you choose to sail in the morning, afternoon or sunset the meeting point is in the center of the town of Korčula – rare jewel whose extraordinary architecture and beauty have for centuries attracted conquerors, seamen, artists, traders and adventurers of all kinds. Based on the wind direction, your skipper will navigate the boat so you get the nicest perception of the town and neighbouring sights. Undisturbed by engine, perhaps you will be able to evoke the arrival of the Trojan hero Antenor, who is said to have dropped anchor and founded a settlement right there, where Korčula proudly stands today or imagine the famous battle of Korčula when Marco Polo fell captive to Genovese. A glass of wine in the right moment, scattered islands hiding your perfect little beach, impressive mountain of Saint Ilija towering above the channel, separating the island and Pelješac, view to passing sailboats, windsurfers and fishermen, turquoise water, cooling breeze in a protected cove – there are many reasons to take this special trip.
